Welcome Dr. Melissa Vogeler!!!

Dr. Melissa Vogeler is a 2010 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine who has recently moved to the Austin area from Dallas.  She received her undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in 2006.  Her veterinary interests include internal medicine, oncology, and exotic animal medicine.  She has an adorable 4-year-old miniature schnauzer named Charlie who is very spoiled.  

We are now teaming with Deborah Carroll CCRP. She brings over 20 years of rehabilitation and conditioning for pets. We are excited to utilize her skills with post-op rehab for knee and hip surgeries.

Welcome to South Lamar Animal Hospital where providing quality care for your pet is our top priority. Located in South Austin, our hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for feline and canine patients. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding runs and cages. In addition we also offer some Hills/Purina Prescription Diets as well as a variety of dental chews and healthy treats for dogs.

Our job is not only to treat your pet when he or she isn't feeling well, but also to help you learn how to keep your beloved companion happy and healthy through routine annual examinations.
